UC Berkeley Course: Developing U.S. Reimbursement Strategies for Medical Devices

On November 6 and 7, 2008 UC Berkeley will conduct a very informative course that focuses on integrating reimbursement strategies into a product's clinical cycle and marketing plan.

The course is appropriate for managers who are responsible for the company's reimbursement and health economic efforts. In addition, managers who will support these efforts will also benefit from attending. The course will also be helpful for Private Investors and C-level executives who want to understand the investment and planning required to carry out a U.S.-based reimbursement plan.

This class is an elective in the Professional Sequence in Biotechnology Business and Marketing Certification Program. In addition, it is graded and credited and a transcript is provided to each participant.

PRG recommends this course as an excellent framework for developing an understanding of the importance of considering reimbursement early in the product development cycle. This can enhance a product's commercial reimbursement potential.

Susan Rowinski is the Course Director and will also instruct along with Judith Hickey, Thomas Bramley and Amy Grogg. Ms. Hickey has been an instructor since the inception of the course in 2005.
